Associate - Product Control - Commercial Real Estate

The CCRE Financial Analyst is an integral member of the CCRE Finance team participating in CCRE’s finance, accounting, treasury and operations processes and controls, as well as internal and external financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze monthly financial data and make sure all monthly activity has been recorded and reconciled

  • Daily liquidity analysis and reporting

  • Support key business activities – loan originations, securitizations, financing, invoice payment and managing vendor relationships

  • Day – to – day management of loan funding process that allocates loans to repo / warehouse lines and managing timing between origination, financing and loan sales

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for external financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP

  • Provide support to finance management and other internal customers as needs arise, including adhoc financial analysis and special projects

  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual close presentations for Management


    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Related experience in the financial accounting group of a financial services company is a plus

  • Advanced analytical and Excel capabilities, project management skills, and ability to multitask

  • Critical thinking, team oriented views, attention to detail, communication skills, business writing, project management and people management skills are critical to this position

Associate - Senior Auditor - Investment Bank

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads two or more audits simultaneously at a minimum
• Conduct and document more complex and high risk audits throughout the Corporation
• Demonstrates professional skepticism and comfort with questioning how certain processes are being performed in order to facilitate making improvements
• Finalizes planning documents
• Assisting in Audit Plan evolution by challenging scoping of audit project
• Functions in various roles on audit assignments, including leading audits, staffing audits, and providing oversight functions based on the needs of the team
• Applies analytical skills to review information, perform assessments of the audit results, and evaluate the adequacy of controls
• Leads a team of 1 or more staff in executing audits
• Works closely with the Audit Team Leader/Manager I or II to perform/develop the audit planning, scoping, and fieldwork execution strategy
• Works closely with the Audit Team Leader/Manager I or II to develop the audit budget and/or timeframe for how the audit will be completed
• Reviews the work papers of the audit team members ensuring that departmental standards have been met
• Communicates the audit status to business unit and Audit Services management. Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
• Completes and compiles findings and recommendations for the purpose of status updates, memos, and audit reports
• Coordinates with other audit teams (business unit, regional, and specialist) to ensure evaluations of related areas occur timely and cover key areas within the audit
• Provides training, coaching, and auditing expertise to the audit team
• Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit/function
• As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
• Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
• Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
• Leading continuous monitoring meetings with business and Audit Services management 

Qualifications:

  • College or University degree and auditing and/or systems experience in a financial institution or similar public accounting experience in the financial services industry is preferred

  • Knowledge of audit procedures and standards usually obtained through related work experience and a four year degree program is required 

  • Has a comprehensive understanding of the Audit Services' Internal Audit Charter, Policy and Methodology and adheres to all applicable requirements within those documents

  • Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures that relate to auditing/accounting standards and analytical skills are necessary to prepare audits

  • Knowledge of the operations, functions, and objectives of interfacing areas is required to properly audit operations, services, systems, workflow, and operational impact on other areas

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Associate - Financial Reporting - Investment Bank

The Financial Reporting group provides internal and external clients with assistance related to the annual audits and/or interim regulatory SEC filings across a diverse set of registered mutual funds and non-registered funds, including, but not limited to, common and collective trust funds, partnerships, and hedge funds that invest in a wide array of investment strategies and asset classes.  The group has an open technical coordinator position that will report directly to the team leader of the team. 

The technical coordinator will assist the team leader with the review of staff work; provide training and development to the staff, as well as provide feedback regarding staff performance.  The technical coordinator will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements and audit support for the Financial Reporting group’s client base.  The technical coordinator will also assist with the preparation of accurate filings of the SEC Forms N-CSR and N-Q for the registered mutual fund base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of fund financial statements and schedules of investments as well as assisting team leader in drafting of the notes to the financial statements for annual and semiannual shareholder reports for registered and non-registered funds.

  • Review of schedules of investments for registered funds on Form N-Q filings.

  • Assist team leader in coordination of audits, related auditor and clients open items, questions and comments.

  • Train staff regarding the preparation of financial statements, schedules of investments, Form N-Q.

  • Technical resource for staff regarding questions related to new investment/derivative products, financial statement preparation questions and auditor questions.

  • Review of staff prepared fund financial statements, schedules of investments, Form N-Q and other supporting schedules as necessary.

  • Provide timely and relevant feedback regarding staff performance to team leader.

  • Complete ad hoc duties and or projects as assigned.

  • Assist with the on-boarding of new client

Qualifications:

• Detailed knowledge of financial statements 

• Working knowledge of 1940 Act rules & regulations, forms N-Q, N-CSR, N-SAR & N-MFP.

• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including such topics as ASC 815 & 820.

• Working knowledge of securities, derivatives and fund accounting principles.

• Exposure to Donnelley Financial Solutions Reportbuilder and/or Arc system preferred

• Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work with limited supervision.

• Strong performer with high standards of integrity & work ethic. 

Experience Required: 

• 3+years experience in Fund Administration/Financial Reporting industry or related relevant industry 

• Degree in finance or accounting 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
