Performance & Analytics Analyst

A leading investment management firm with over $40B in AUM is seeking an Analyst to join its Performance Reporting and Analytics team. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to support performance measurement, attribution, and financial analytics across a diverse portfolio of private market investments.

The Analyst will be instrumental in producing accurate, insightful reporting for internal stakeholders and external clients, while driving process improvements through automation and data optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate and maintain fund and client performance metrics (IRR, gross/net returns, attribution)

• Build and maintain complex Excel models for forecasting, cash flow projections, and fee waterfalls

• Use Alteryx to streamline data workflows and enhance reporting accuracy

• Analyze large datasets and contribute to visual reporting using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SQL

• Support the creation of investor reports, presentations, and executive dashboards

• Collaborate with teams across FP&A, Treasury, and Investments to gather data and deliver performance insights

• Assist with bespoke client requests, ad-hoc analytics, and reporting for senior leadership

• Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Alteryx for data preparation and workflow automation

• Advanced Excel skills required, including financial modeling; VBA/Macros a plus

• Understanding of private equity and hedge fund performance metrics (e.g., IRR, MoIC, RoR)

• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Highly detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
