Senior Associate/Associate, Investment Operations

    Position Overview

    Our client, an asset management firm, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate or Associate for our Investment Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of debt investments, including features like LIBOR resets, loan pricing grids, amortization schedules, elective free cash flow paydowns, PIK and PIK toggles, and structural amendments. This role will involve collaborating with our sub-Admin Agent.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform reconciliations of cash and positions for debt and equity investments across all BDCs, Private Funds, including respective asset-based SPVs, CLOs, SMAs, and corporate revolvers.

    • Process required loan and non-loan activities in WSO.

    • Prepare time-sensitive funding memos related to direct fundings and borrowings.

    • Coordinate all assignments, participations, and transfers related to private debt and broadly syndicated investments among various portfolios.

    • Review and manage loan settlements in ClearPar for accuracy and timely closing times.

    • Ensure quality control in the trade workflow from the internal OMS to WSO and other downstream vendors.

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.

    • Experience with alternative investment products and an understanding of credit or debt investments, such as directly originated loans or broadly syndicated loans, is strongly preferred.

    • Professional background in loan operations.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including oral and written communication.

    • Proactive and innovative self-starter who takes initiative and is solution-oriented in all interactions.

    • Proven ability to build effective relationships and handle diplomatic interactions with clients.

    • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage daily, weekly, and monthly workloads in addition to multitasking while staying focused.

    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
