Data Governance Associate

A specialist is needed to assist in onboarding data domains into a data governance framework. This role involves leading meetings with the business community, gathering data and process requirements, and asking insightful questions to extract valuable information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the onboarding of data domains into the governance framework.

  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to collect data and process requirements.

  • Analyze and document findings, presenting results effectively.

  • Document key processes and collaborate with the team to identify root causes of operational bottlenecks.

  • Perform data analysis, design processes, and conduct data profiling to develop effective solutions.

  • Update the business glossary and collaborate with data stewards to define rules that enhance data quality.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for in-depth data analysis.

  • Ability to work across various business and technology teams, conducting data discovery and building data glossaries and catalogs.

  • Experience in business analysis, including process mapping and requirement definition.

  • Familiarity with existing data catalog, business glossary, and data quality vendor tools is a plus.

  • Strong time management skills to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of Data Management, Data Profiling, Data Quality, and related areas such as Data Modeling and Master Data Management.

  • Understanding of financial services data domains like Product, Client, Accounts, and Transactions.

  • Proficient in technical skills, including SQL, Python, R, and data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).

  • Familiarity with BI reporting tools like Tableau is a bonus.

  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in Asset Management or Consulting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
