Data Governance Associate
A specialist is needed to assist in onboarding data domains into a data governance framework. This role involves leading meetings with the business community, gathering data and process requirements, and asking insightful questions to extract valuable information.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the onboarding of data domains into the governance framework.
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to collect data and process requirements.
Analyze and document findings, presenting results effectively.
Document key processes and collaborate with the team to identify root causes of operational bottlenecks.
Perform data analysis, design processes, and conduct data profiling to develop effective solutions.
Update the business glossary and collaborate with data stewards to define rules that enhance data quality.
Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for in-depth data analysis.
Ability to work across various business and technology teams, conducting data discovery and building data glossaries and catalogs.
Experience in business analysis, including process mapping and requirement definition.
Familiarity with existing data catalog, business glossary, and data quality vendor tools is a plus.
Strong time management skills to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of Data Management, Data Profiling, Data Quality, and related areas such as Data Modeling and Master Data Management.
Understanding of financial services data domains like Product, Client, Accounts, and Transactions.
Proficient in technical skills, including SQL, Python, R, and data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica).
Familiarity with BI reporting tools like Tableau is a bonus.
Preferred: 5 years of experience in Asset Management or Consulting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
Proficient in MS Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
