Data Analytics Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will work within the Finance Operations group with responsibility for supporting efforts related to data visualization, reporting, and business analytics.  The role will work closely with IT, business operations and the broader finance group to satisfy existing and emerging reporting and analytical needs as well as drive digital transformation.  The candidate will be expected to gather and analyze business requirements, then document, research and develop solutions that meet user needs with limited support from IT. The candidate will need to have a combination of (1) client-focused attitude and excellent communication, and (2) strong analytical and technical skills.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL Server Analysis Services tabular models

• Develop SQL objects (i.e., stored procs, functions, views)

• Create, maintain, and administer reporting dashboards using Power BI

• Prepare management and regulatory reports; conduct ad hoc analysis in support of business

• Provide business users training on available reporting tools

• Support automation initiatives: build relationships with business users, gain deep understanding of their processes and how they are currently utilizing technology, develop process improvements

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Computer Science or the equivalent work experience.

• 3+ years of experience developing reporting solutions using technical, data modeling and business analysis skills

• Technical skills including SQL, SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI,

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Python a preferred

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a time-sensitive, deadline driven environment

• Strong organizational, analytical and data modelling skills
